When not having an authentic cezve pot for Turkish coffee, the smallest pot at home can usually substitute. Grind the coffee finely as possible.
Procedure
Put the ground coffee powder into the pot. Add water, slightly more than the cup. Then you can start boiling the pot on low heat.
Heat is the key variable in the brewing quality. For the foam, you should stop after the oil comes out, and before the coffee starts to boil.
Turkish coffee serves as a traditional, minimal, and first-priciples way of making coffee. It reduces the brewing process to a single primary variable (heat), which is easy to determine based on trials. Also its relatively low demand on the machinery removes the friction of buying new items. Even when using the authentic cezve, there are still fewer required items than most modern methods of brewing.
